About This Project

The back yard from our whole-home rowhome renovation. Glass doors open onto a composite deck with black railing and capped posts; a short run of steps drops to a bluestone patio laid in a random rectangular pattern.

A horizontal board fence wraps the yard for privacy, and the space under the deck stays open for storage. The gallery includes in-progress shots from the day the pavers and fence went in.

A rowhome yard is small, so every level has to earn its place — deck for the door, patio for the table, fence for the neighbors.
